Carpet Cleaning Reno NV – Getting Wine Out Of Carpet
How to get red wine out of your carpet without scary chemicals
So, you are having some friends over and maybe a few of them end up having a little too much fun. Before you know it, your carpet is a cliche’ with a huge red wine stain all over it. There are ways that you can get that wine out without having to use a bunch of hazardous chemicals.
OK, so let’s get to getting that wine out of the carpet.
First, you need to blot the stain with some plain white paper towels or a clean white cloth. You don’t want ANY color on these because you could transfer dye from a colored cloth to your carpet, and that is not going to help you.
Next, take some plain dish-soap like Dawn and 1-cup of hydrogen peroxide from your medicine cabinet into a bowl. Place a clean, white sponge into this mixture and ring it out about half way.
Dab the soap/peroxide laden sponge on the wine spot until it lifts away from the carpet.
Next, just repeat this process with a clean sponge soaked with plain old warm water.
And finally, use more clean cloths or paper towels to pat the area dry!
You just cleaned up your first wine spill on your carpet and you didn’t even have to call a professional carpet cleaner, how do you feel? We all get so used to calling in the pro’s every time we spill something or bang something up, but there are plenty of inexpensive (cheap) ways that you can clean your own carpet, and do a nice job of doing it.
So, when you make a mistake and your carpet gets dirty, just get out your trusty DIY handbook and get that stain out yourself.
